The Winter Season 2020-21 runs November 2 to February 21 and open to girls in grades 7 and 8.
The overall plan is to practice three (3X) per week and schedule various types of competitions in a COVID-19 safety-first environment.
The practices are Monday and Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. The focus of practices will be game-like shooting, intense skill improvement, multi-player concepts such give & go, screens, spacing, ball movement, man-to-man and help defense.
Games and scrimmages will be scheduled throughout the Winter Season to provide an opportunity to test skills, concepts and stay competitively sharp. There will be three types of competitions.
- Two 3-on-3 Tournaments internal to the team. Athletes will be divided into groups for 3-on-3 competitions via a bracketed tournament.
- Two scrimmages against the Flow Chicago Team, one scrimmage in Chicago and one in DuPage i.e. Home & Away. These groups are competitively similar and following the same Flow Safety Procedures.
- Two-three half day shoot-outs with competitive teams from the area on a weekend day. These games will be scheduled among organizations with demonstrated safety experience and come later in the season (if safe).
